Make Your Own All-Natural Eczema Cream

Eczema is a condition that affects nearly 35 million Americans. It is more common in children than it is in adults, but the symptoms are nevertheless unpleasant and painful. Having Eczema means that your skin will be dry, red, and itchy. You will develop red or brown-gray patches on your skin. In some cases, you may also have small bumps on your skin which can leak fluid when you scratch them.

Living with Eczema is not easy at all. There is no cure to it, but some self-care measures and treatments can help provide some relief from the itching. They can also prevent a new outbreak.

If you know someone who is suffering from eczema, we suggest you share this natural home remedy for eczema with them.

All-Natural Eczema Cream

There are plenty of home remedies and lifestyle hacks that can help you beat eczema. One of them is homemade eczema cream. This carries ingredients that keep your skin moisturized and less itchy.

To make your own all-natural eczema cream, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Coconut oil – ½ cup
  • Oats – ¼ cup
  • Shea butter – ¼ cup
  • Vitamin E oil – 2 teaspoons
  • Lavender essential oil – 20 drops

You’ll also need a pan, a blender or spice grinder, a Mason jar or glass bowl, and a container or small tin to store the cream.

Directions

  1. Use a blender, spice grinder, or food processor to grind the oats into a fine powder.
  2. Fill a pan with water and heat it on the stove until the water starts to simmer gently.
  3. Take a mason jar or a glass bowl and pour the coconut oil and Shea butter into it.
  4. Now place the jar or bowl into the pan of water. Keep it submerged in the water until the butter and oil have melted.
  5. Take out the jar and add the powdered oats to the mixture. Make sure you stir well.
  6. Now pour the lavender essential oil and the Vitamin E oil into the jar and stir again.
  7. Continue stirring until all the ingredients in the mixture are well mixed.
  8. Pour the mixture into a container or small tin. You can place it in the fridge or set it in some cool place so that it solidifies.

Applying the Cream

Test a patch of skin by applying a small amount of the eczema cream. This is important in case you develop an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients. If everything looks good, then you can continue using it.

Simply apply the cream over the affected area once or twice every day. Make sure it doesn’t get in your eyes and wash your hands after use.
