Recently I came across an article that was talking about Banana tea being the best alternative to sleeping pills. As I have my fair share of sleeping issues and even though I found another natural product that helped me greatly, I thought of wanting to give it a try.
Question: Is banana tea safe?
Answer: Yes. The minerals that help relax the body are the high amount of magnesium and potassium in the peel. Don’t forget that when you boil the banana that vitamin C and other heat-sensitive phytonutrients are destroyed in this process.
I looked up various recipes online and decided to try this one.
It was interesting. Even though I have read it was supposed to be super yummy, mine had a little bitter taste to it, but nothing that a little honey or cinnamon can’t handle. The muscles did relax, and I fell asleep quickly without much fuss. I slept through the night and woke up on time before the alarm clock could do its damage to my ear. I felt relaxed and refreshed. Of course, trying only once is not enough to confirm that the test was a success, so I tried it the next evening again and natures magic did not fail.
My verdict is that this natural option is great in particular as bananas are readily available. The only drawback that nobody is talking about is the cleaning up afterward.
